Performance Classes [by Invitation]

These classes are by invitation and for the more driven student also interested in developing skills and, of course loving dance but looking to extend themselves through participation in team performances at competitions throughout the year such as eisteddfods. To be first considered for Performance Classes you must take a Jazz and a Ballet class. Ballet gives the student the basics in dance technique, rhythm and balance.

These classes are set at the beginning of each term outlining as specifically as possible the commitment schedule of rehearsals and performances for that term. Classes will then commence work on a competitive level of routine which will be performed at competitions and at the end of year Concert. It may also require the purchase/hire of costumes (see hire of Uniforms/Costumes).

During the year students may be invited into these classes by the teacher. The teacher will advise both parents and the individual student if we consider they are ready for the challenge of a competition class.

“We see learning as fun and performance as fabulous!”

Show Group - On Stage Kids [by Audition]

A class dedicated to producing top of the line performances live on stage, sing & dance like a pop star! Singers use professional sound equipment, radio microphones to practice and perform. It requires the purchase or hire of a Show Group costume(s) (see hire of Uniforms/Costumes) for the routine(s) learnt during this time. You must already be part of the Performance Class to be chosen. Show Group members are also part of the opening performances for the Annual Concert.

On Stage Studios Show Group where invited by the Disney Corporation to perform at Disneyland and California Adventure Park. During the trip they attended a dance workshop at the infamous ‘The Edge’ in Los Angeles and Universal Studios plus many other attractions around LA. So much was learnt on this trip, an experience they will never forget (the parents had a fantastic time as well!).
