about on stage studios
On Stage Studios is dynamic, with high-energy fun classes taught by selected experienced teachers in a friendly and encouraging environment.
The studio offers classes in RAD Ballet, JFH (Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop), Tap, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, Private Lessons – Singing & Dance and Drama. With classes ages from 2 to adult, beginners to advanced, take it for a hobby, fitness or challenge yourself to reach your full potential.
We also offer morning pre-schooler classes with a dance program especially suited for children between the age of 2-4 years.

our Performances
At On Stage Studios, we are proud to offer the opportunity for students to perform in local eisteddfods, talent quests and with the ‘On Stage Kids’ Show Group performing at the throughout the year at various venues around southern Sydney. On Stage Kids were invited by the Disney Corporation USA and performed at Disneyland & California Adventure Park back in 2008 — we never know where our performances will take us!
The On Stage Studios Annual Concert is held in November each year – a wonderful way for every student to perform in person for their family and friends in their chosen disciplines – this truly is an event not to be missed. Each student is rewarded with either a trophy or medallion at the conclusion.

principal teacher & owner
CARLY O'ROURKE
Carly is the principal teacher and owner of the studio, which was founded in 2005 and has developed it into one of southern Sydney’s leading multi skilled training centres for young dancers, singers and performers.
Carly started her dance/singing training when she was 4 years of age at Keane Kids Studios in Ultimo. She is an experienced singer/dancer/choreographer, having performed in the stage musical Shout! around Australia, the opening ceremony of the Sydney Olympics, appeared on multiple TV shows and has her own cabaret club show.
Carly is a true entertainer and enjoys teaching students and giving them the opportunity to express their personalities and abilities in a confident manner ‘ON STAGE’.
ACROBAT COORDINATOR
ASPEN PALMER
Aspen grew up doing calisthenics from age 3 before also venturing into dance at age 12, training and competing at an elite level across all styles. She has a Certificate IV in Dance after spending the past year at Ev&Bow full time training centre. Prior to that, she also graduated with a merit in year 12 dance after receiving the highest mark in the state.
Aspen has over 5 years teaching experience with performance teams, privates and technique classes throughout South Australia. This spans across all styles with a particular specialty in acrobatics after completing her Acrobatic Arts Certification.
We are very excited to welcome Miss Aspen to the OSS family!
Ballet teacher
Chelsea Franklin
Born and raised in Sydney, Chelsea began dancing at the age of 3 years old – winning numerous trophies that ignited a passion for performance. Destined for a career on stage, Chelsea moved into all genres of the professional entertainment industry including dance, theatre and TV.
Chelsea became a musical theatre girl, and spent years with various shows touring Australia, Asia and New Zealand. Classically trained, Chelsea further developed her skills by becoming a registered RAD teacher having attained the Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies from The Royal Academy of Dance.
Chelsea promotes a passion for dance, encourages student learning that inspires artistry in a safe, professional and welcoming environment.
DANCE teacher
Tayla Ioannou
Tayla first started as a student at On Stage Studios when she was 8 years old. She found her passion for dance at OSS and grew up in the studio’s family culture. Now Tayla is one of our amazing teachers for a range of classes including jazz, hip hop and tap. Tayla has choreographed multiple festival performances as well as competition pieces.
Tayla has been teaching at On Stage Studios for 4 years, whilst she completes her university degree of a Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering.
She teaches students from all ages, sharing her love of dance and creating a fun and enjoyable culture whilst assisting our students to reach their full dance potential.
